Angle

Looks for the angle that makes text lines and straight edges horizontal, up to 20° either way. Works best on a scanned or photographed document — a busy photo with no dominant lines has nothing for it to lock onto.

Background

Straightening a rotated rectangle leaves triangles of empty space in the corners — this is what fills them.
