This runs Whisper tiny.en — the smallest useful speech model — in this tab. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is charged, but a model this small makes mistakes: roughly one word in twenty on clear speech, and noticeably more with background music, crosstalk, strong accents or names it has never seen. Read it through before you publish it.
The first run downloads about 41 MB of model, once per device — after that it starts from your browser’s cache and works offline. English only; other languages will come back as nonsense rather than an error.
